- Will my email campaign be sent to named Teachers on their direct school email addresses? Or to the school office email address?
We send your email content to named Teachers on their direct school email address where available - i.e. to Jan.email@example.com – rather than the school generic office@ or admin@ types of email addresses.
And since we hold the direct school email addresses for over 750,000 Teachers and Senior Leaders in UK Schools and Nurseries – our direct email coverage is the largest and most comprehensive teachers email service available in the UK.
- Do you hold the generic school email addresses for UK schools too?
Yes, we also hold the generic school email address for all UK schools too, which we can supply to you – or we can include in your email campaign to teachers on their direct school email addresses, if you want us to.
- Can we access the Teachers/School Staff on their direct school email addresses?
We do not pass on the direct school emails of teachers and school staff. However, if you want to email teachers on their direct school email addresses, we can send your email content to them on your behalf using our managed email service, where we send your email content directly to the teachers’ own school inboxes, with the email appearing to come from you.
- Who will the email be sent from? Will teachers be able to see it is coming from my company?
Your email sender name will appear to be your own company or brand name (i.e. from your sender ‘alias’) and sent from our Information for Schools email server.
- How does your email service work? Do we have to know much about emailing?
Our email service is very simple. Once your email order is confirmed, we schedule in your send date(s) as agreed with you and then get to work on the set up of your HTML artwork if you are supplying HTML files to us, or on the build of your email from scratch using your text and images supplied if you have asked us to create a simply HTML email for you.
Once your email set up is complete, we send you an online proof to check and sign off. Once you have signed off your email content, we will select your chosen targeted list of teachers, upload those to our email servers and set your campaign up for broadcasting on your scheduled delivery date.
5 working days after your send date, we will send will send your email tracking report to you.
- Do we have to fit our email content into a certain template/or email format?
You can send us your email content laid out the way you want it to look, according to your own branding style and colours, you don’t have to conform to a template. We test all HTML files you send to us to make sure they render/view properly for recipients across the most frequently used email clients – and we send an online sample to you for checking too, so you can ensure your content looks as you want it to look.
- What do you mean by an HTML email?
HTML emails are coded in a similar way to web pages, using colours, graphics, width, height and font settings and links – but they are coded specifically for email, to try and ensure your email looks good wherever it is are viewed. Many of the business and consumer emails you receive are most likely to be HTML emails, whereas a plain text email is an email that only includes text.
There are also emails that look like plain text, but that are actually HTML text emails – which means you get the clean, simplicity of a text email (that looks like a personal letter for instance) but with short links and downloads that look neat – without the full link URL needing to be shown.
- How quickly can you send our email out?
We ask for your content 3 working days before your scheduled email send date, to allow time to set it up and send samples to you for sign off. We can often work quicker than this though – so if you are in a hurry just ask us!
